When you wake up after your surgery you will not be in pain. This is because the drugs in your system are still intact and they will last for a few more hours.
Your surgeon will check up on you and give you verbal and written instructions on various precautions for the post-surgery period. You have to have an adult person bringing you home and stay with you for the first 24 hours. This can be a partner, parent or friend.
You have to rest when you leave the clinic. It is not uncommon that you feel some discomfort as the drugs stop working but, you will follow the medication prescribed by your surgeon and you should not be in pain. Our clinic will always be available for any queries or questions you might have for your surgeon if this should be necessary
